Shelley received her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and her master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Missouri at Columbia. She brings with her experience working in hospital social work, case management, advocacy, and mental health crisis intervention services. Shelley utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, as well as Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT). She also has specialized training in Prolonged Exposure for the treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder.
Shelley has worked with a wide variety of patients ranging from children to adults as well as acute disorders to those with more chronic illnesses. When not working, Shelley likes to spend time with her children whom are now young adults and snuggling with a myriad of pets. She enjoys reading, podcasts, and debating the meaning of the most recent Marvel movie.
Shelley started at UCS in Fall of 2021.
