Tracy Parks is a licensed professional counselor(LPC) in Missouri that has been seeing patients in private practice since 2010. He has been licensed since 2005 and spent 10 years working at St. Luke's Northland Hospital in the Emergency Room and also the psychiatric units providing assessment and counseling. Tracy has been seeing patients at Complete Family Medicine since 2014 and had a practice in Kansas City prior to that. He has been trained and uses various different counseling methods including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing(EMDR), existential therapy as well as other techniques learned through DBT training and providing.
Tracy has lived in Kirksville since 2014. He is passionate about health, wellness, connection and creating a thriving community that uplifts and honors each of us. Tracy currently spends most of his time away from the office farming and creating a sustainable homestead. He also enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with his family and outdoors.
Tracy believes in empowered action and the resilience that each of us have. He does not judge a person or their situation in his counseling sessions and can provide a safe and insight-seeking environment to look at a person's life. He believes in the mind/body connection and the ability to heal once we recognize what is going on and how to move forward.
Tracy has been working at UCS since Spring of 2021.
